Many of the biggest names in the Jewish world today got their start at New Voices, the only national magazine for Jewish college students. You could be next! We are always looking for more writers, editors, bloggers, and whatever-ers. And you get your name in (digital) print. It’s a win-win. So whether you write features or arts & culture reviews, are a blogger, poet, photographer, artist, cartoonist, storyteller, videographer, or just have strong opinions, send us your ideas. There’s a good chance your work will be seen by Jewish students and writers 'round the world.
Outside our themed content, we always welcome general pieces from student writers. You can direct your pitches to the corresponding editor, who will then work with you to draft, edit, and eventually publish your finished piece to our website.
In an incredibly consequential year, clear, challenging political pieces are needed. For work related to politics, the election, and all the ways students are impacted by electoral action, email Akiva at politics@newvoices.org.
Do you have a review of a piece of Jewish media? Cutting edge thoughts on the latest art-house movie about a bat mitzvah? Poetry or creative writing for submission? Email Rina at culture@newvoices.org.
We always need a laugh. And then we need to dissect why we're laughing. If you have comedic pieces, op-eds, satire, or just want to kvetch, email our resident clown Evie at humor@newvoices.org.
If you have illustrations, comics, or want to submit artwork for consideration to New Voices to be a part of our Artist Profile series, email Tyler at design@newvoices.org.
We have been around from 1971... with the stacks of content to prove it. If you want to request a specific issue or topic, discuss purchasing a vintage print, or for exhibition inquiries, email Ramona at archives@newvoices.org.
For all other topics, inquiries, or investigation leads, email Editor-in-Chief Julia at editor@newvoices.org.
