Every second, 28,258 people are viewing pornography. In China alone, the porn industry revenue is $27.4 billion. And every 39 minutes, a new pornographic video is made in the United States. (Thank you, porn statisticians.)
Given the amount of time and energy put into porn—making it, watching it, pretending not to watch it—and given our fascination with everything to do with sex, it’s no surprise that the Internet exploded with excitement yesterday when PornMD, a porn search engine, released some juicy secrets about porn searches. Namely, the website released a scientific-ish survey of the top porn searches based on location, breaking it down by country and, in the U.S., by state.
This compilation was based entirely on the searches users made on the website itself, which gets about 1,051 viewers a day, and shows us exactly what various countries are into. Naturally, our curiosity led us straight to Israel’s kinky clicks.
Apparently, the top porn search in Israel is “prostate.” Confused? So were we. So we did a little, uh, journalistic research. It seems there’s a sub-sect of porn videos dedicated to men who fantasize about getting a “prostate massage” (we all know what that really means) from a nurse after a medical exam. Judge not lest ye be judged, and all that.
Some other potentially confusing searches we’ve helpfully looked into for you: Number 10, Zdenka, seems to be a reference to the Czech porn star Zdenka Podkapova. Number 3, “college rules”…actually, we have no idea. Go do your own research.
Conclusion: Rule 34 is absolutely true.
