Dishing Up the Sweetest Pesach

SWEETSEDER-040408
Pesach just got sweeter. And no…I’m not just talking about my mother’s delicious chocolate torte she makes every Passover. Brought back by popular demand, I had to share the news. KOACH at UF just announced on Tuesday that they will be hosting their annual Chocolate Seder at UF Hillel right before the holiday festivities begin.

Got matzah? Bring on the chocolate.

Charoset with a little mixture of grape juice? Pour in the chocolate while you’re at it.

Needing a refill on your glass of wine? Take a glass of chocolate milk.

The entirely chocolate Seder will be held at UF Hillel on Tuesday, April 12 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Amazed by this concept, I googled for more information on ways to Passover recipes with chocolate included.

Finally, I came upon two blogs worth looking into.

My Chocolate Seder lists tens of ideas on kosher recipes for Passover, including a link to the UC Berkley Hillel Chocolate Haggadah.

Another blog I came to was the Estzer’s Passover Page where it gives fun tips on how to assemble a chocolate Seder plate. The website suggests to take different types of chocolate and piece them together on a Seder plate. From dark to milk chocolate, have fun with it and devise a sweet Seder of your own.
