There is a staff position opening at New Voices and the Jewish Student Press Service! New Voices is seeking a part-time web editor to manage, edit and enhance its web content.
New Voices is the national independent magazine written for and by Jewish college students. Published by the Jewish Student Press Service (est. 1971), New Voices covers Jewish issues from a student perspective. The organization also runs the annual National Jewish Student Journalism Conference, now in its 39th year.

Web Editor, newvoices.org
The Jewish Student Press Service seeks a qualified Web Editor for newvoices.org during the 2010-11 academic year. The position is half-time. The Web Editor will work out of our New York office.
Requirements:
- Extensive web management and design background
- Some journalism experience
- Interest in Jewish college student community
- Strong managerial skills
- Extremely self-motivated
Job Description:
New Voices is seeking a web editor who will manage the site’s content, market that content to readers and keep up the site’s design. The web editor will be in charge of web design, selling ads and developing a vision for what www.newvoices.org is capable of as a national Jewish student magazine and hub for Jewish students. The web editor will work closely with the editor-in-chief on editorial vision, writing and editing and will play a significant role in generating, editing and monitoring content.
