As hookah health debate heats up, hipsters ask the tough questions

A couple of days ago, in Putting a Crimp in the Hookah, the New York Times wrote about increasing concerns about the health risks that hookah smoking poses. Several states and college campuses have recently introduced or are considering new rules about hookahs and hookah bars.

But the Jewish corner of the blogosphere’s friendly neighborhood hipsters over at Hipster Jew are asking the most important question of all as this debate heats up:

“But how is my Hillel supposed to attract students with a Hookah in the Succah if smoking hookah has been proven to be harmful? Oy vey! What a dilema (sic).”

And the rest of their short post on the topic is pretty funny too.

We wrote about hookah smoking on college campuses last year: Have a Nargilah.
