The Reading List: ADL double whammy

Our fear-mongering friends at the Anti-Defamation League gave us two unfortunate treats yesterday. First, they gave an award and a platform to Rupert Murdoch, the man who is trying to transform the world of honest journalism into a world of demagoguery, pandering, sensationalism, fluff and–sometimes–lies. [ADL]

Then they came out with a list of the top-10 anti-Israel organizations in the US, and called Jewish Voice for Peace anti-Semitic. Abe Foxman needs to go so that this organization can get back to what it does best: fighting discrimination. [ADL]

Several propositions for a Palestinian state exist now, but here’s one from 1967, formulated by one of Israel’s most influential rightists. [Ha'aretz]

This dude is my rabbi’s son. [TONY]

And while Jews across the country wring their hands about the future of our community, the Reform movement has actually set up a think tank to figure stuff out. It’ll be interesting to see where this goes. [URJ]
